Dear Monday Pre K families,
I
was SO PROUD of this class today! Each one came to school excited to
be sharing Mr. Roger’s ‘Be a good neighbor’ day by going and singing for the
folks at the Sarah Todd Home in Carlisle. They sang beautifully, had
the best manners, smiled, shook hands, allowed hugs, and spoke up when asked
their name. They enjoyed sharing the artwork that we brought and the
residents were pleased to have our angels visit. I will do this again.
It was a blessing to me and to Miss Janet – we loved watching our friends
share Jesus with our new friends who live at Sarah Todd.
Special thanks to Erin Jayman who arranged the trip for us and to all our
driver/chaperones. We couldn’t have gone without your help. I
hope that you enjoyed watching the children as much as we did.
Blessings,
Melinda

Riley Coon, Apple Dumpling Alumna, 2006,
came back to school on Monday, December 1st, to read a favorite book to Miss
Melinda's class. An attentive class thoroughly enjoyed the book
reading, and Miss Melinda's interview of Riley which followed it.

On Thursday,
October 2nd, the Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten classes took a field trip
to Paulus Farm Market, in
Mechanicsburg. Lots of parents came along too, to help us. We
had a tour of the gardens, fed pigs and goats, played on (and under) a tall
hay bale pile and a wagon, watched chickens, got to see the market and the
bakery, had a hay wagon ride, and went through the corn maze where every
child got to pick out their own pumpkin. Then we played in a very
special play area in the Paulus greenhouse, had our picnic lunch, and got
back to school JUST in time for naps. Enjoy the photos!
